Island Health invites you to take self–guided tours of the new North Island Hospital campuses in Campbell River and the Comox Valley before they open in September and October 2017.
Self-directed public tours will take place at:
- Campbell River campus Saturday, August 12, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Comox Valley campus Sunday, August 13, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
This is a great opportunity for community residents to see the state-of-the-art design, technology and features of the new North Island Hospital, ranging from single-patient rooms to operating theatres. See how the hospital is designed and built to create a healing and welcoming environment with calming colours, natural light and views to nature.
Parking is limited until the hospital campuses open this fall. Carpooling or using public transit is strongly encouraged.
- The Campbell River campus tour starts near the corner of Evergreen Road and Birch Street, at the new Emergency entrance, on the south end of the building. Visitors to the campus can park in the gravel lots off of 2nd Ave. near Dogwood Street or at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 34 S. Alder Street.
See Campbell River tour parking map.
- The Comox Valley campus tour starts at the main entrance on the north side of the building. Visitors to the campus can park on the hospital property, accessed from Lerwick Road at Waters Place, or in the public spaces at the Comox Valley Aquatic Centre.
